Lauren and Eric warmly welcome you Design with Procreate, operated by Digital Theatre Design, LLC! These fully self-guided workshops are designed with you in mind - helping you go step-by-step toward amazing costume renderings in no time. Our workshop centers on using Procreate exclusively. Yes, we realize this will exclude those using Microsoft products, as Procreate only works for Apple iPads. However our mission is not to teach an exhaustive array of techniques, rather, we aim to teach folx a first-step toward discovering your own artistic style within a new medium.
Here's what you need:
- A software-updated iPad that supports Procreate. Procreate has been around awhile and works on older iPads quite well. It's also recommended you download and log into the Google Drive app.
- A stylus of some fashion (we recommend either generation of the Apple Pencil). Any stylus that functions for you will be just fine.
- Patience for yourself learning a new skill - these things take time!

Basics of Procreate: Getting Started
Welcome to Design with Procreate!
This introductory course focuses on the true beginner. We start from the very beginning (a very good place to start) learning how to create Canvases in Procreate and move through basic drawing techniques. This course concludes with coloring a sketch template - meaning you are just moments away from doing your sketch coloring work all digitally!
Free Module: Clipping Mask
In this FREE mini-lesson, you will be guided through a quick demonstration through how to use Clipping Mask, one of our most favorite and well-used techniques in Procreate.
